Supporting Clients with Personality Disorder
Monday 25th March 2019

The term personality disorder is used to refer to people with an extremely broad range of experiences, difficulties and behaviours. Many people given the same diagnosis will have very different experiences and it is common for people to be given a diagnosis of more than one personality disorder.
The course aims to improve staff knowledge, relationships and ability to recognise deterioration of mental health.

Schizophrenia Awareness
Tuesday 26th March 2019
9am-12:15pm
£60 + VAT per person
Schizophrenia is a severe mental illness with a range of symptoms. It affects around 1 in 100 people at some point in their lives. Supporting people with schizophrenia may be challenging because often it affects the way a person thinks and behaves. This course is designed to support you with some of the challenges.
This half day course aims to provide an awareness by improving your knowledge and skills to enable you to work effectively with someone you support who has schizophrenia.
Depression Awareness

Depression is a common mental disorder that causes people to experience a number of often distressing, and debilitating symptoms. Depression is different from feeling down or sad and can have a big impact on someone’s life. This course is designed to support you to both understand, and better communicate with and help someone living with depression.
This half day course aims to provide an awareness by improving your knowledge and skills to enable you to work effectively with someone you support who has depression.
Depression: What is Really Means
Bipolar Awareness
Wednesday 27th March 2019
9am-12:15pm
£60 + VAT per person
Bipolar disorder is a mental illness which affects mood states. Living with bipolar disorder can be distressing and have a big impact on someone’s life. This course is designed to support you to both understand, and better communicate with and help someone living with the fluctuating mood states of bipolar disorder.
This half day course aims to provide an awareness by improving your knowledge and skills to enable you to work effectively with someone you support who has bipolar disorder.
Introduction to Anxiety Disorders
Wednesday 27th March
1pm-4:15pm
£60 + VAT per person
Anxiety disorders are a group of mental illnesses, and the distress they cause can keep an individual from carrying on with their life normally. For people who have an anxiety disorder, worry and fear are constant and overwhelming, and can be disabling. This course is designed to support you to both understand, and better communicate with and help someone living with an anxiety disorder.
This half day course aims to provide an awareness by improving your knowledge and skills to enable you to work effectively with someone you support who has an anxiety disorder.
